For Devandre

Son
by Glenda J. Harshberger

As I bear you from my womb

all the love And joy filled the room.

As I held you my arms formed a cocoon.

As I watched you sleeping peacefully at Night.

Oh what mental pictures forever In my sight

and asked god forever be His light.

As the years go by I can hardly

Remember when you were that little guy.

With all your smiles and all those whys

Curiosity and questions will never end

Just like the sky.

Now it's time I must realize for you to Run and play,

oh I promise not to be in Your way,

but moms feels protective and

“Be careful” they always say.

For all your boyish adventures and Lessons learned,

I will grow and so Will you,

but the memories I have of You and you of me

will seem just new

Before you know it you'll have a little One that says goo-goo

Bible verses I meditate on ...

Isaac prayed for his wife Rebekah to conceive:
Genesis 25:21
Isaac prayed to the Lord on behalf of his wife, because she was barren. The Lord answered his prayer and his wife Rebekah became pregnant.

Rachel prayed to conceive:
Genesis 29:31
... But Rachel was barren.
Genesis 30:1
When Rachel saw that she was not bearing any children, she became jealous of her sister ...
Genesis 30:22
Then God remembered Rachel; He listened to her and opened her womb. She became pregnant and gave birth to a son and said " God has taken away my disgrace." She named him Joseph, and said, "May the Lord add to me another son."

Hannah prayed for a son:
1 Samuel 1:11
And she made a vow saying, "Oh Lord Almighty, if you will only look upon our servant's misery and remember me, and not forget your servant but give her a son, then I will give him to the Lord for all the days of his life, and no razor will ever be used on his head."
1 Samuel 1:19
Early the next morning they arose and worshiped before the Lord and then went back to their home at Ramah. Elkanah lay with Hannah his wife, and the Lord remembered her. So in the course of time Hannah conceived and gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel, saying, "Because I asked the Lord for him."

Zechariah prayed for a child:
Luke 1:7
But they had no children, because Elizabeth was barren and they were both well along in years.
Luke 1:13
"Do not be afraid Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to give him the name John. He will be a joy and a delight to you, and many will rejoice because of his birth..."

*My date night - 20 January 2009*

So we had our date night and I know, I was supposed to give an update like a week ago already, but have been so busy at work. And, to top it off I hurt my knees while exercising.

Ok now Kim, back to the topic on hand, (LOL).

Ok, our date night started a teeny weeny, bit late. Ok like an hour later then planned, but that was because I had to help Varney with his school stuff. Anyway R understood the situation and knew that when I was done I would be all HIS for the night.

Ok, so I'm not going to go into too much details. We had a picnic on our bedroom floor, with candles, some chocolate, sliced plums, grapes and yoghurt. It was romantic and very intimate.

I'm glad we did this for our marriage and this has helped heal old wounds and made us fall inlove all over again. Randy I love u ALWAYS!

Anyhoo, I'm looking forward to our next date night which will be scheduled on 14 Feb - Valentine's day and most importantly the big O.

Take care my blogging buddies and all those reading.

May God be with you all!

Exercising and dieting

I have decided that I need to loose weight before we TTC again. So, I've started dieting since last week Monday and I can happily say that I am sticking to it. It's been 9 days and I'm making progress.

Well, the exercises, I'm slowly but surely getting there. I have started with routine exercises last week and since yesterday I've started jogging. I don't feel stiff, but yet again, I'm taking it lightly.

I haven't weighed myself as yet, cause I don't have a scale, but intend on buying one and weighing myself soon. But, I can feel by my clothes that I have lost something.

Well, this diet has been really good, cause now I have more energy then before and I'm drinking lots of water. Good for EWCM - LOL!

I cant wait for tonight, cause its our date night and I planned something really special ... will update tomorrow!

My long overdue update

Hi

Well I haven't posted in a long while. My last post was before Christmas, I think over a month ago.

Well I just wanted to update everyone on my life.

Christmas was great. We had so much fun and spent the day with my family. D was so happy for his gift and we could not get him away from the karaoke singing that my sister had planned for the day. We ate so much and me being on the heavy side have picked up so much weight over the festive season alone. Well last cycle I was ovulating over Christmas weekend, but did not make much of an effort to try and conceive. I jsut decided to enjoy some time with the family and with R and with D.

New year's day was also just quiet. We decided to just stay home and put the pool up for D. My sister them came over to our house and we had a braai.

This year I want to do so much and want to try and stick to my resolutions.

Me and R will work together and place everything in God's hands to accomplish the following:
  • finish all our debts by end of this year
  • loose some weight before TTC again
  • we have started dieting and exercising together
  • save to take D to the sea as he has never been to the sea
  • start studying or do a leadership development course offered through our company
  • help R get his license

Well, I know all these things we can achieve together and through our God.

Take care and God bless
